Slaughter To Prevail is now streaming their moshy, groovy new single “1984.” The single’s video also finds vocalist Alex Terrible going totally maskless throughout and looking plenty pissed off. Terrible posted the single’s lyrics as well, which seem to be about Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. The band hasn’t made a concrete statement on what the song is actually about outside the lyrics, so they’ll have to do for now. They are:

Terrible has previously released the following statement on the war, saying “I’m making an official statement on behalf of the whole band, as a leader. I’m Alex Terrible and I play with Slaughter To Prevail. I’m the vocalist, and we play deathcore and death metal. We show guns and weapons and tanks in our video clips, and so on. Despite this fact, we are against the war. We are against any war. It is hurting us to see what is happening right now in Ukraine. We have been in Ukraine many times for shows, and our last tour finished in Ukraine.
