Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl recently admitted that he fathered a child born outside of his marriage with another woman, cheating on his wife Jordyn. Grohl and Blum’s future together remains unclear following the revelation.
On Tuesday, September 10th, the Foo Fighters frontman, made the shocking revelation on Instagram, telling fans he is doing “everything I can to regain” the trust of Blum and their children. (Grohl and Blum are parents to daughters Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and Ophelia, 10.)
As per a source close to Blum, the interior designer, has known “for a while” about Grohl’s baby news.
“She was shocked when she found out about the baby. Her friends are like family, and they rallied around her,” says another Blum friend.
Over the years, “Dave’s flirty behavior has been a hurdle in their marriage. It’s been hurtful to Jordyn,” added the Blum source.
While Grohl’s fans were shocked by his baby news, some in the couple’s circle weren’t entirely surprised.
“We keep reading over and over again how heartbroken everyone is because Dave was supposed to be the ‘good guy,’ the rockstar that didn’t have to do those rockstar things,” says a source who knows the couple. “And people are crazy about the guy, but there is a rockstar side.”
Dave Grohl and Blum who have been married since 2003 and also often “felt like an opposites attract type of [relationship],” adds the source.
Through the recent upheaval in their marriage, both Grohl and Blum are prioritizing their kids.
“I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” Grohl wrote in his September 10th post. “We’re grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.”
Blum source says: “She’s a great mom and very dedicated to their daughters.”
