Sacrifice, one of Canada’s pioneering thrash metal bands, has unveiled the lyric video for “Antidote Of Poison” from their upcoming album Volume Six. Set for release on February 21, 2025, via Cursed Blessings and High Roller Records, this marks the band’s first full-length album in over 16 years. Featuring ten new tracks and a cover of Toronto hardcore band Direct Action’s “Trapped In A World,” the album blends their signature breakneck thrash with more nuanced, layered compositions.
Recorded at Phase One Studios in Scarborough, Ontario, with original members Rob Urbinati, Joe Rico, Scott Watts, and Gus Pynn, Volume Six reflects dark themes inspired by the pandemic, global turmoil, and personal experiences. The cover art, created by Propagandhi bassist Todd Kowalski, visually captures the album’s intensity. Known for their role in shaping the 1980s Canadian thrash scene, Sacrifice continues to solidify their legendary status with this latest release.
