Journey Member Catches On Fire At Concert

JOURNEY drummer was “LITERALLY ON FIRE” for four songs during electric blaze at cancelled Houston show.
This past Friday (March 14th), Journey’s concert in Houston was stopped abruptly just five songs in, with the band being forced to vacate the stage due to an electrical fire. In a video posted to Twitter/X, Journey can be heard playing their massive hit “Don’t Stop Believin’” when the sound suddenly cuts out and the projector screens go dark.

Confused, the audience continued to sing along as members of Journey’s crew rushed to the stage with fire extinguishers. Shortly after, attendees were asked to evacuate and were notified that the concert would not continue.

Now, drummer Dean Castronovo has taken to Instagram to address the incident, writing:

“Hey, Houston! An act of God tonight! Fire broke out underneath the stage—right under my drum riser!🔥😲 I was literally on fire for 4 ½ songs, all the power cables melted, and the show was a BUST! That doesn’t mean we won’t be back soon, because we love you all—and WE WILL RETURN! #dontstopbelievin God bless you all!”

Despite Castronovo’s close proximity to the blaze, at the moment no injuries have been reported.

While Journey have not addressed the situation directly, event organizers Houston Rodeo issued a statement about the cancellation on their Facebook page:

“Due to an unforeseen electrical incident under the stage area, we regretfully announce the cancellation of tonight’s Journey concert. We sincerely apologise to all fans for this disappointment Our team is working diligently to assess the situation, and we will provide updates regarding rescheduling options and refunds as soon as possible.”
