Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl is totally devastated after the passing away of the band’s drummer Taylor Hawkins aged 50. Dave and his bandmates made an emotional return to Los Angeles. The band was due to play on the same day of his death. They were scheduled to play at the Festival Estereo Picnic in Bogota, Colombia. This led to the band reportedly canceling the rest of their South American tour.

Grohl appeared to be shattered on Saturday as he embraced a man believed to be their manager, John Silva, after touching down in the US from Bogota. He was joined by bandmates Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee, as well as jazz singer Samantha Sidley.
The Foo Fighters announced they will no longer be performing at the Festival Estéreo Picnic after Taylor Hawkins passed away. The band previously issued a statement about Hawkins’ death on Twitter.
It read: “The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins. His musical spirit and infectious laughter will live with us forever. Our hearts go out to his wife, children, and family, and we ask that their privacy be treated with the utmost respect in this unimaginably difficult time.”
Hawkins was found dead Friday in a hotel room at the Four Seasons Casa Medina in Bogota. The cause of death is still not officially confirmed, but there are reports. ‘According to those close to him, the death could be related to the consumption of drugs.’ The Daily Mail reported this alleged statement. He had a history of drug abuse.
White powder ‘similar to cocaine’, and hallucinogens, were allegedly found in the five-star Casa Medina hotel room of Hawkins. Renowned Colombian journalist Luis Carlos Velez, the Bogota-based director of radio station FM recently claimed that a police officer who entered Hawkins’ room had told prosecutors he saw a ‘cocaine-like’ white powder.
