David Lee Roth ‘Humiliated’ Eddie Van Halen Wife

Eddie Van Halen or David Lee Roth? That’s a question that many music lovers of all ages have asked themselves for what seems to be years upon years. Not only do both artists go by a three-part name, but they are both very talented and extraordinary at what they do. This is why there is so much debate at all times. While both artists have left their mark in a big way; other marks have been seemingly made as well as new rumors start to swirl around an older generation.

Not everything can be sunshine, rainbows, and guitar solos in the world of Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth. Not at all. There has always been some kind of smoke and fire around these two. The smoke has been brought into play and fanned out even more by the women who have surrounded either icon at any given time.

As many fans are well aware, a rumor has been going around for years that Eddie’s ex-wife, Valerie Bertinelli had broken up the illustrious band. This just doesn’t seem to be true as the ex-wife points out while defending herself on Rob Lowe’s show, ‘Literally!’ She seemed to hint that David Lee Roth got her and her wives banned from shows.

“After Ed and I became involved, all of a sudden there was this rule that there were no girlfriends and no wives allowed on the road.”

“I got along great with Al and with Mike. It was someone else. I don’t know why he didn’t like me, but what are you gonna do? I don’t know why he didn’t like me. I mean, I was always nice to him. I honestly don’t know.”

She then continued to speak about when she went nose to nose with Roth: “One day I’d like to sit down with him and go, ‘Dude, what did I do? Honestly, I’ve always been a fan of yours. I think you’re a brilliant frontman, I think you’re a brilliant songwriter, I love your lyrics. Why don’t you like me? What did I do?’” Roth has nothing to say, as of yet.
