According to Deadline, Oasis fans excited for the band’s reunion tour have run into big problems trying to buy tickets online. After the band added three more dates to their stadium tour because of high demand, many fans complained on social media about long waits, technical issues on Ticketmaster, and unexpected price increases. Some tickets jumped from £150 to £356, labeled as “in demand” as pointed out by a post on Reddit as well. Even then, Oasis’ first reunion could be coming up soon.
One angry fan questioned how this could be allowed, calling the price hikes robbery. Another fan wondered how this could be legal.
Some fans tried to lighten the situation with humor. One group recreated the band’s 1994 “Definitely Maybe” album cover, showing their frantic efforts to get tickets with multiple computer screens set up on Ticketmaster.
These problems remind many of the issues during the pre-sale for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in 2022, which also overwhelmed Ticketmaster and led to a lawsuit against them for driving up ticket prices.
One especially frustrated fan complained about an eight-hour wait, being kicked out of the checkout process multiple times, and price hikes of over 300%. Another fan joked about sending a message to Liam Gallagher about bad things his brother Noel had said to try and get a ticket.
The Oasis Live ’25 Tour, starting in July 2025 in Cardiff, comes 15 years after Noel quit the band mid-tour in 2009 due to his ongoing feud with his brother Liam.
