YUNGBLUD triumphs on “The Emperor”
YUNGBLUD‘s new track “The Emperor” is filled with unconquerable energy. YUNGBLUD leaves every last bit of himself as he cries out “Are you the emperor?” and a choir of voices matches his verve. It seems the song’s triumphant edge hasn’t gone unnoticed, either. “The Emperor” was chosen as the official 2022 anthem for ESPN‘s College Football Season. YUNGBLUD’s self-titled album releases Sept. 2. While you wait, hold yourself over by listening to this energizing battle cry of a song.

Carly Rae Jepsen is airing her dating grievances
Carly Rae Jepsen‘s latest single “Beach House” turns dating dilemmas into a campy horror tune. What begins innocently enough with an ill-conceived “I love you” quickly spirals into threats of organ-harvesting and bankruptcy-inducing scams. All the while, Jepsen maintains an air of playfulness. Dating may suck, but it’s a reality she’s accustomed to. Jepsen is currently in the midst of her So Nice tour with Empress Of. You can find more information about the tour here.
Omar Apollo hits the road this fall
Omar Apollo will embark on his Prototype tour this fall. The North American tour alongside Ravyn Lenae begins Oct. 21 in San Diego. He also dropped a new track, “Highlight,” from the forthcoming deluxe release of Ivory. “Highlight” is a laid-back track that supplements its slow tempo with confidence. Light guitar plucks and deep bass lend a swaggering forward motion to the track. Ivory (Marfil) releases Aug. 12 via Warner. Check here for tickets and a list of tour dates.
