Chat Pile Share Roadburn 2023 Live Album Ahead of Roadburn 2025 Set

Oklahoma City’s Chat Pile has been taking over the sludgy noise rock game for a small minute now. So much so that back in the days of 2023, they were invited to play Roadburn. If you don’t know why that’s a big deal in the metal world, look it up. They’ve been asked to play again this year, where they’ll be playing their recent album, Cool World, in full. With that set taking place later today (April 19), they’ve also given us a taste of what they sounded like when they first graced the stage. You can stream their live Roadburn 2023 performance below.

You can get their 2023 set exclusively on vinyl while at the festival this year or through the Flenser’s Series Seven membership. An official non-vinyl release is expected to come at some point later this year.

Here’s what their bassist Stin had to say about their 2023 feat:

“While our Roadburn performance wasn’t the most polished, we hope fans will get a kick out of experiencing the nerves and excitement we felt on stage playing in front of the radically largest audience we’d ever played to at that point in the band’s history. It’s a raw chronicling of a very important moment in our lives and we’re very excited to share it with you.”

Chat Pile is going on their own tour starting tomorrow (April 20 aka 4/20 aka one of the only holidays that matters) with Agirculture and The Hirs Collective. Check out those dates below as well.
