Last August, rap-rock comeback story Limp Bizkit canceled their U.S. tour over “safety concerns,” with frontman Fred Durst claiming that “the system is still very flawed.” But now, the band have revealed a slew of upcoming U.S. tour dates to kick off next month, with a series of rotating openers along for the ride.
The one running act on Limp Bizkit’s upcoming tour is Wargasm, the UK band whose vocalist Milkie Way was recently featured in our list of 16 women who have changed metal over the last 20 years. Also along for the ride are Scowl, Yung Gravy, Dying Wish, and $not, whose dollar-sign name suggests that they are not infamous nu-metal forefathers Snot, but some unoriginal youngsters.
Real talk, we’ll be interested to see how this goes. We’re not sure why Durst thinks that now is an okay time to tour as opposed to last year, given Omicron’s surge, but maybe he knows something we don’t. In any event, given how many cities are lifting mask and vaccine mandates, we guess it just made sense.
