Furnace Fest 2024 was billed as the final Furnace Fest. The festival originally ran between 2000 and 2003, and then again between 2021 and 2024. The 2024 edition’s graphic design was loaded up with coffins and gravestone imagery because y’know – Furnace Fest was dead. Except it might not be?
In a post to the Furnace Fest Instagram, organizers asked what everyone was up to between October 3 and 5, 2025 alongside above slide. Given the Furnace Fest logo above the dates and the inclusion of the Furnace Fest Gmail account, it seems pretty safe to assume Furnace Fest ain’t dead.
“Furnace Fest family: we’re not crying; you’re crying! We love you forever, and all four million fifteen thousand seven hundred and fifty-two seconds since October 6th have been pure misery!
“For those of you who got married, engaged, flew around the world (het spijt me, mijn Nederlandse gozers!), spent too much magic credit card money, and everyone else thinking you’d never see Sloss Furnaces together again, we apologize in advance for finding a way to reunite—for the sake of the children!
