Sanguisugabogg to Start Recording Their Third Album in March

Columbus-based death metal outfit with the world’s easiest band name to pronounce, Sanguisugabogg, had an eventful year in 2024. They got into fights on the Internet, they got themselves banned from Instagram, they created a t-shirt to support Luigi Mangione, they caught the attention of Jason and Travis Kelce’s beer company, and, oh yeah, they put out a new single called “Permanently Fucked” which, frankly, describes all our attitudes going into 2025. Well, it looks like the new year promises to be even bigger for these death metallers, because, following the announcement in November that they were actively writing a new album, they have now announced that they are currently working on preproduction for their upcoming third album, the follow-up to their 2023 album Homicidal Ecstasy.

The announcement came on their Instagram yesterday, where they posted:

“Recording our third full length record and follow up to ‘Homicidal Ecstasy’ this year! Hitting the studio in March and covering some ground for preproduction currently!

“Expect new music in 2025”

Considering that Homicidal Ecstasy really made them a household name in the metal world, or as much of a household name as they can be with a name like Sanguisugabogg, the follow-up promises to be one of the biggest metal releases of the year no matter what.

Meanwhile, Sanguisugabogg does have a few live dates scheduled for the following months, all of them for festivals, so check out the list of scheduled dates below:

May 11 – Columbus, OH @ Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival
May 18 – Daytona Beach, FL @ Welcome to Rockville 2025
May 31 – Detroit, MI @ Tied Down Detroit
