A stream of Oceans Of Slumber‘s new single “The Given Dream” went up on digital service providers today, August 20th. That track will also emerge on the progressive doom metal band’s forthcoming new album “Where Gods Fear To Speak“, due out September 13th on Season Of Mist.
Vocalist Cammie Beverly briefly commented, ‘This is one of the most tiring songs to sing on the album. I’m belting from the beginning. Going from a belt to soprano back to a belt is not a break. Singing soprano takes more breath than singing mid-range or alto. You have to hold your vocal cords tight.”
