San Francisco, CA death metallers Possessed will be taking over the spot recently vacated by Deicide on Exodus‘ spring ‘Swarm Of Horror Tour‘ with openers Misfire. Yesterday, March 18th, Deicide announced they had withdrawn from the run, stating:
“We regret to inform, that we won’t be participating in the upcoming Exodus run, because of scheduling conflicts.
DEICIDE“
Speaking today of joining the bill today, Possessed stated on Instagram:
“Proud to be supporting the mighty Exodus for this U.S.A. tour. Our Bay Area Brothers Exodus and Possessed have a long history and this is going to be a great tour”
Exodus commented via social media:
“Welcome Possessed to the Swarm of Horror! They jumped on after Deicide had to pull off, we’ll see you in the pit with them and Misfire !!!”
The addition of Possessed follows troubling allegations that were leveled against the band’s vocalist Jeff Becerra last December. Becerra for his part denied any wrongdoing occurred. It would appear that the response to Becerra‘s statement continues to impact the band however, as comments have remained turned off on their social media posts since those allegations first emerged.
