Video Premiere: Besta – “Olhar Serafico”

Decibel is pleased to present the new music video for Besta‘s song “Olhar Serafico,” from the band’s new album Terra Em Desapego, out now via Lifeforce Records. The video shows a montage of conflict, disorder and ideology, contrasted by the thrash and burn riffs and growls of the music, which is very reminiscent of Chaos A.D-era Sepultura and Soulfly’s better records. The word “besta” in Portuguese simply means “beast” in English, a fitting moniker then for a band as ferocious as this.

The band describes how coming from Portugal “by itself makes it a struggle to get their sheer convictions put on tape!” According to the band, the song and video for “Olhar Serafico” are inspired by their “native society’s lack of information,” which causes “a perpetual lethargy and conformism that can also escalate to a global issue.” The band also pledges its loyalty to “90s death metal, focusing on the riffs and prolific songwriting.”

Check out the video below. You can order digital and physical copies of Terra Em Desapego at Besta’s Bandcamp page.
