90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? was conceived to follow couples who got married during 90 Day Fiancé. While the aim of 90DF is to show international couples who marry on K-1 visas, and start lives together in the United States, not all duos ultimately tie the knot by the end of the season. However, viewers are left curious about the fates of the couples that do decide to marry. While some pairs have a successful future, other couples have more uncertain outcomes.

While many 90 Day Fiancé fans enjoy keeping up with doomed and successful marriages, the upcoming season of Happily Ever After has left many viewers disappointed, due to its cast. Currently, all seven of the featured couples have been announced. However, only four of the duos appeared on 90 Day Fiancé,and are married. Two couples are unmarried, and only appeared on spin-off shows, while the remaining couple is married, but from a spin-off show. While viewers are annoyed with the cast, some are still anticipating the new season. However, multiple couples are receiving little to no enthusiasm from fans.
7. Big Ed Brown & Liz Woods
Big Ed Brown and Liz Woods are one Happily Ever After season 7 couple that fans don’t want to watch. Big Ed first appeared on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, where he became a franchise villain. He then dated (and eventually became engaged to) Liz on 90 Day: The Single Life. Many franchise fans were disturbed when a recording of an abusive phone call from him to her was leaked. Big Ed and Liz only appeared on spin-off shows, and they are unmarried. Additionally, they are both Americans, even though the 90 Day Fiancé franchise focuses exclusively on international couples. Furthermore, Big Ed is a massive franchise villain who is known to be rude and verbally abusive, as well as creepy to younger women. Many viewers also dislike Liz, whom they have labeled as big of a fame-chaser as her future husband.
6. Kimberly Menzies & Usman Umar
Like Liz and Big Ed, Kimberly Menzies and Usman Umar also don’t fit the Happily Ever After criteria. The mismatched couple appeared on the spin-off show Before the 90 Days, and are currently believed to not even be engaged. Viewers overwhelmingly doubt the authenticity or success of the couple, as younger Nigerian man Usman infamously married older American woman Lisa Hamme before divorcing her. He later started dating fellow older American, Kim. 90 Day Fiancé fans largely suspect that Usman is using Kim for a Green Card, while Kim comes across as creepy and delusional, since she tried to pressure Usman into sleeping with her.
5. Libby Potthast & Andrei Castravet
Libby Potthast and Andrei Castravet are one couple that fits the Happily Ever After premise. The American woman and Moldovian man are married, and expecting their second child after first appearing on 90 Day Fiancé season 5. Libby and Andrei have a stable and successful marriage. Despite being disliked by viewers for their bratty and entitled attitudes, Libby and Andrei do appear to be a strong match. However, their plotline on Happily Ever After season 6 was universally panned by viewers, for featuring what came across as tedious and heavily scripted drama between Potthast family members. Libby’s siblings Jenn Davis, Becky Lichtwerch, and Charlie Potthast are loathed by viewers. Many 90 Day Fiancé fans do not want to see another season of poorly acted Potthast family drama.

4. Angela Deem & Michael Ilesanmi
Angela Deem and Michael Ilesanmi also fit the Happily Ever After concept, as the Before the 90 Days couple joined the cast of 90 Day Fiancé season 7, and are currently married. However, Angela is a major franchise villain who is known for her controlling and verbally abusive behavior. Many viewers are therefore furious that TLC will still work with Angela and Big Ed. However, Angela and Michael have generated a small amount of buzz about their plotline. Previews for the new season left viewers shocked, when Angela was revealed to be talking to a Canadian man and making plans to visit him. It appears that her marriage to Michael is now over. While most franchise fans are sick of Angela’s antics and plastic surgery obsession, many 90 Day Fiancé fans would like to see Michael move on with a new woman.
3. Jenny Slatten & Sumit Singh
Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh married on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way. Many franchise fans believe they have seen enough of the couple, who dragged out their relationship for a decade. They went through an agonizing process as older American woman Jenny tried to convince the young Indian man to marry her. However, Jenny and Sumit’s plotline has actually progressed, since they did tie the knot. While few fans are looking forward to seeing more of Jenny and Sumit’s story, some viewers are curious about how their marriage is going, as well as how Sumit’s parents reacted to the news that they tied the knot. Meanwhile, Sumit and Jenny do appear genuinely happy on Instagram, and might have a more mature and evolved storyline to share.
2. Shaeeda Sween & Bilal Hazziez (Mystery Couple)
Since the majority of the announced Happily Ever After season 7 couples have left fans disappointed, many were hoping that the unannounced seventh couple would be interesting. Viewers suspected that the duo would be one of the 90 Day Fiancé season 9 couples that would be revealed at the upcoming Tell-All. When the season came to a close, it was announced early that Shaeeda Sween and Bilal Hazziez are the mystery couple from 90 Day Fiancé season 9. This news has brought mixed reactions, as Bilal was panned as a season 9 villain. However, Shaeeda gained the most followers during the season, and left many viewers eager to keep up with her story. Some fans are even hoping that she will leave Bilal.
1. Jovi Dufren & Yara Zaya
Jovi Dufren and Yara Zaya are the only Happily Ever After season 7 couple that viewers are at all excited to see. The controversial duo might be polarizing, but Yara’s sense of humor in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise makes her popular in televised content, even if she comes across as materialistic on social media. Many viewers are curious about the couple’s plans to have another baby, while viewers also adore seeing content of them with their adorable daughter, Mylah. Jovi also revealed that he is going through a rough patch with Yara, so the duo may bring some authentic marital drama to 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever Afterseason 7.
