Wendy Stuart will be hosting TriVersity Talk! this Wednesday at 7 PM ET with featured guest Doron Braunshtein.

TriVersity Talk! is a weekly web series with featured guests discussing their lives, activism and pressing issues in the LGBTQ Community. With TriVersity Talk!, the goal is to laugh and learn.

Doron Braunshtein is an Israeli-American poet, author painter and a singer which is widely known for his work in the avant-garde fashion design filed as Apollo Braun. His fashion designs were featured in numerous fashion magazines such as ID, America, InStyle, Lucky and many more. Apollo’s retail store was a must go-to the Lower East Side shopping destination on Orchard Street from 2003-2009.

He released his debut album in 2001 and has since released many more. His song “Party in My Pants” appeared in the film Religulous and the Helsinki Burlesque Festival. In 2015, Apollo appeared on the Israeli TV show HaKokhav HaBa (English: The Next Star), where he sang two original songs. Braunshtein’s music consists primarily of spoken word, and often references celebrities, politicians, and religious figures.

Doron Braunshtein is also a poet and author with a number of books published under his name. His books tell hispersonal story of his world, his relationships with his family, the way he accepts the world and the way he was not accepted by other people.

His notable art exhibition was part of 2late2hate that took place in the East Village New York City 2007.

Braunshtein published eight books in Israel during the years 1999 to 2011. In 2009he had published in Israel anovel called “The Whores of Petach Tikva” that 

became a success there. The novel portrayed the life of threeyoung women who are originally from Petach Tikva that have moved to New York City to open in the 

East Village a successful brothel.
