A witchy, dark rock act hailing out of the Pacific Northwest known as Hoaxed have their sophomore album Death Knocks coming out soon. To mark the upcoming occasion, they’ve released “Kill Switch”, the latest single off the aforementioned release.
According to the band, this new release was a labor of love that came about through the collective action of their loved ones and neighbors.
“The world’s been heavy lately, so pulling people together for this project felt right. Friends filmed it, drinks fueled it, and the resulting video speaks for itself. It’s the scene showing up and supporting each other.”
Thanks to the addition of bassist/vocalist April Dimmick, the now trio act features a fuller sound.
“April comes from a classic heavy metal background, and her influence is in these songs. We’ve also had experiences on tour that have helped shape these songs. You can hear influence from the bands we toured with and learned from. We played together for three years as we wrote this album, and we learned a lot about our styles, and our sound evolved naturally together on stage. So, when we sat down to write this album, it didn’t feel like a departure or a change.”
