Thrash metal legends Megadeth have an apparent new greatest hits collection titled “Fast Hits” scheduled for an August 21st release date on vinyl. Currently, that effort is being advertised as a Walmart exclusive, with pre-orders available via walmart.com. Thus far there doesn’t appear to be any official announcement made by the band as to what this record will entail however.
Megadeth vocalist/guitarist Dave Mustaine announced last year that his pioneering thrash outfit will occur in a few years time, with the band currently out on the initial legs of a lengthy farewell tour. While there’s no set date yet for a farewell show, the group’s self-titled final studio album saw a release in January of this year.
