Bay Area thrash legends Death Angel will mark the 35th anniversary of their landmark album Act III by playing it in its entirety at their annual Christmas show on December 18 at The Fillmore in San Francisco. The band promises this will be a one-night-only event with no livestream, encouraging fans to grab tickets early. Artist presale is underway at Ticketmaster.com using passcode BRINGFIRE.
Originally released in 1990 on Geffen Records, Act III saw Death Angel evolve their sound with more melodic and structured songwriting, guided by producer Max Norman (Blizzard of Ozz, Diary of a Madman). Guitarist Rob Cavestany and vocalist Mark Osegueda have credited that intense period—writing up to 30 songs and undergoing pre-production for the first time—as a turning point that sharpened their craft and discipline.
Despite disbanding after a serious 1991 bus crash, Death Angel eventually reunited and have continued to thrive, even earning a Grammy nomination for the title track of their 2019 album Humanicide.
