Conan O’Brien will return to host the Oscars in 2027 on ABC. The network announced his return during the Disney upfront presentation on May 12 in New York City. The date for the 99th Academy Awards was announced in tandem with O’Brien’s return.

The 2027 Oscars will air live on March 14, 2027, starting at 7/6c on ABC.
Who is hosting the 2027 Oscars?
O’Brien will return as the Oscars host for the March 2027 ceremony. This will be his third consecutive year in the role.
Additionally, Emmy Award-winning live television event producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan return as the show’s executive producers for the fourth consecutive year, Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Lynette Howell Taylor announced today. Jeff Ross and Mike Sweeney will return as producers for a third time, and Sweeney will also serve as a writer.
