Released December 8, 2023 “Everything Better Than Everything Else” by Scant Regard is living proof that Will Crewdson is not of an ordinary world. He has his madness in music and lives in another dimension and does not have time for anything without a soul. Everyone has a measure of insanity especially in the world of music and it moves them stronger in explicable ways…..however “Everything Better Than Everything Else” is an electro-pop decadence and a guitar driven ephemeral spark that ignites the planet…

Madness is a special form of spirit. Man strives toward reason only so he can make rules for himself….life itself has no rules and neither does Scant Regard. The light of his mania shines all over this full-length album and cannot be disputed or feared in songs including “I’m Gonna Give Your Love Away”, and “When the Gate Slams.” Will Crewdson once again proves that he is one of the best guitarists on the planet with an unyielding energy and a creative abyss….

Scant Regard is a solo project by Will Crewdson who is also known for a tapestry of work including Adam Ant, The Selecter, She Made Me Do It, Bow Wow Wow, Flesh for Lulu, Johnette Napolitano, Rachel Stamp, and a barrage of others. His music continues to be a prayer for the wild at heart like a mosaic with pieces of light, love, history, and stars glued together with magic.

Some of the tracks on this album are dark and spill like an overflowing cup of bitter expresso filled with caffeine, addicted to darkness and served without a smile. Whilst others are wistful and promote a sense of joy for no reason. However,s all of the tracks stay close to the edge where you can see things that you cannot see from the center. Crewdson also enlisted some featured guests included in some of the songs such as Mary Byker singing lead for “On the Warpath”, and Maggie K De Mode singing back up on “Ride Alone.”

“Everything Better Than Everything Else” proves that Crewdson survived this much and the decided to survive more. It invites chaos to order and reminds us there will always be a place where music will find a voice, even in silence….
